About Us

Our young, vibrant company was founded in November 2005 with a vision to provide the South African food industry with a new, alternative range of the highest quality frozen desserts and cakes.

The main person behind the scenes at BRENELL DESSERTS is Brenda de Waal, a pastry chef who has learned and practised her profession extensively in some of Europe's finest establishments, including The Ritz Hotel in London. It is her passion and skills that have helped to establish BRENELL DESSERTS' growing reputation for creating products of unsurpassed quality and exceptional taste.

From small beginnings, the company has grown steadily and in April 2011 BRENELL DESSERTS relocated to a brand new premises at Mkondeni Industial Park in Pietermaritzburg. With quality control staff monitoring production from start to finish and premises designed with food safety and health & hygiene in mind, we can now produce even more fabulous desserts for our ever-growing customer base.
